The
above is an example of quilling, also known as paper filigree. The cup,
saucer, and spoon shown here are made by cutting and curling narrow strips of
paper then gluing them to assemble each piece. Quilling was originally used to
decorate religious objects as far back as the 15th Century.
Contemporary quilling lends its beauty to an even wider variety of
applications, i.e. wedding invitations, birth announcements, etc. The
uniqueness of quilling makes it the perfect gift for that really special
occasion . . . a keepsake that will be treasured for many years to come.
